“Øresund – the Nordic Nanohub”

The latest Nano Øresund report confirms the Øresund region as the biggest Nordic region at small scales.

A new analysis shows that the Øresund region is at the top – compared to the other significant Nordic nano regions, Helsinki and Stockholm – both within the number of publications and also regarding the number of citations. All three regions show an extensive growth in these figures.

The report is based on bibliometric analysis of scientific publications and mapping of existent resources within the area of education.

“In this region, we have got world class nanoscientific research, supported by excellent infrastructure in terms of laboratories”, says Professor Lars Samuelsson at Lund University. Professor Samuelsson is responsible for coordination within nanoscience research in the Øresund region. “This region holds well managed coordination, which is an important part of our success within the area.”
